Welcome to the
Paralympic Schools Programme
The Paralympic Schools Programme
was offered to primary and intermediate schools
as a tool to learn about the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The programmes objectives
were to
inspire young New Zealanders, through positive perceptions and understandings of
individuals with disabilities, and to encourage support of the New Zealand team
as they compete at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Registered schools were provided with the following:
• Paralympic Schools Programme booklet
• Paralympic Schools Programme classroom activities
• Monthly Paralympic Schools Programme newsletter
• Eligible to enter the Paralympic Schools Supporters Competition
