COACHING

Overview
The Paralympics New Zealand Coaching Vision is:
To build a team of World Class Coaches and Support Staff and to ensure that we have effective identification, transition, development and retention initiatives to grow coaching within Paralympics New Zealand to a world class level

The Paralympic New Zealand Coaching Plan has been developed to achieve this vision by the following:

1. Leadership
To ensure that Paralympics New Zealand Coaches get the best quality of support possible from the Coach Performance Manager.

2. Attract coaches into the High Performance Coaching Programme within Paralympics New Zealand.
To empower and inspire people to get involved in coaching Paralympic athletes.

3. Develop existing Paralympic New Zealand coaches to maximise the performance of the athlete.
To enhance the capabilities and promotes excellence of Paralympic New Zealand coaches.
To build a high quality and effective team of sport science providers around Paralympic New Zealand Coaches.

4. Retain our Paralympic New Zealand coaches.
To enable coaches to remain in a world class coaching system.
To increase the quality and quantity of time coaches have for coaching activities.
